Sammy was born in Boston and spent most of his life here – though he’s also lived overseas, and in Baltimore, Toronto and Rochester, New York. He earned his BA from the University of Toronto and his Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland. After passing the Bar in Maryland, Sammy decided to pursue wealth management to help people with all facets of their finances.
As a young financial planner, Sammy had the good fortune to work as lead advisor at an investment firm run by an estate planning group. There he received experience drafting estate planning documents, administering estates, conducting tax research and working closely with a robust trust department. Next, Sammy built a national wealth management practice for a large money manager, giving him a golden opportunity to increase his investment knowledge and develop his career. In 2011, he became one of the youngest and fastest team members to be named a shareholder of that firm.
Like the other partners, Sammy came to Heritage to work in a smaller, employee-owned firm. Sammy works closely with a select group of high net worth clients. He also spends time cultivating relationships with prospective clients who fit the firm’s meticulous approach and want to get serious about their finances.
Sammy is a CFP® practitioner and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®). He’s also a board member and chair of the investment committee for the John M. Barry Boys and Girls Club of Newton. In his free time, Sammy loves to read, write, golf, and spend time with his wife and three children.
