Truman spent most of his childhood as a New Yorker, growing up in White Plains, not too far from New York City. With parents from Massachusetts, they decided to move closer to family around the Boston area during his high school years. He was an active student, participating on swim, lacrosse, and rugby teams.
His love for finance started in middle school when he asked his father about his thoughts and experiences on investments and markets. As a young boy, Truman would then share what he learned about the stock market with friends on the bus. Truman attended Roger Williams University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He was an active member of the Center for Advanced Financial Education where he helped run a real dollar portfolio, analyzing, trading, and presenting stock ideas. During his senior year he shared his knowledge of the program and love of finance by mentoring new Student Fund Managers.
As a Portfolio Associate at Heritage, Truman is part of the Heritage Investment Team, implementing new client accounts, analyzing client portfolios and trading securities to keep them in line with asset allocation guidelines.
Truman is an outdoor thrill-seeker and takes advantage of all four seasons, enjoying camping, golfing, skiing, and snowmobiling. When he isn’t participating in sports himself, he can be found watching auto racing or cheering on New England sports teams, especially the Bruins.
