Michael grew up in Lincoln, MA and went on to attend Middlebury College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. After graduation, he joined Teach for America and taught high school math in Charlotte, NC. He later returned to his home state to pursue a Master’s in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Over the next eight years, Michael built a career in education, most recently serving as Principal of King Elementary School in the Boston Public Schools.
In 2025, Michael transitioned into financial services, joining Heritage as a Paraplanner. In this role, he works closely with the firm’s wealth management teams to develop comprehensive financial plans for clients.
Outside of work, Michael is a lifelong competitive swimmer and continues to race in open water events. He lives in Cambridge with his wife, Dr. Maggie McGean, their son Russell, and their dog, Tucker.
