Liz graduated from Merrimack College where she studied political science and played tennis. She then attended Suffolk Law School. After graduating law school, Liz started work as an attorney at a private estate planning practice. In this role she provided guidance to her clients in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration, and probate matters. Liz worked with her clients to design plans that would help them preserve their wealth for future generations. After 15 years in private practice, she made the transition to an advanced planning consultant at Commonwealth Financial. At Commonwealth she was a resource to financial advisors on issues involving estate planning, charitable planning, education planning, and social security.
As the Estate Planning Specialist at Heritage Financial, Liz works with our wealth management teams and clients to analyze and integrate estate planning with other aspects of client plans, including income tax, insurance, philanthropy, business succession, and efficient wealth transfer. Liz collaborates with clients’ external professionals to develop estate planning strategies and ensure implementation of client plans are well coordinated. As the firm’s estate planning subject matter expert, Liz monitors trust and estate law, educating colleagues and clients on relevant changes.
Liz and her husband met at a charity event for the St. Francis House in Boston, and enjoy staying active in volunteering or helping that organization as much as possible. Liz lives in Milton with her husband, their two children, and dog, Rosie! She enjoys coaching her children’s basketball teams, following all Boston sports, and traveling with her family. When not coaching or watching sports, Liz is learning to play pickleball which is proving harder than imagined, even for a college tennis player!
