Lauren grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago with her parents and younger sister.
Thanks to her father, a financial advisor, Lauren grew up often discussing financial planning, entrepreneurship, and careers in the finance industry. These conversations and the support of her family led Lauren to Co-Found Standout Search, a search platform for internships and similar opportunities for high school students. At Standout Search she oversaw the operations and finances and helped match over 350 students with internships across the country. This experience in the business and finance world helped her discover a passion for helping others improve their financial and educational knowledge and opportunities.
Lauren attended The University of Chicago where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies with honors and Bachelor of Arts in Russian and East European Studies. During her senior year of college, Lauren had the opportunity to study abroad in Ukraine where she wrote a thesis on the associations between the language someone uses (Russian vs. Ukrainian) and their political/cultural identity.
Lauren began her career as a Legal Assistant at an asset management firm helping the investment team analyze legal implications of potential investments. She joined Heritage as a Paraplanner in 2024 and today, as a Wealth Advisor, she partners with Wealth Managers to conduct client review meetings and to address client requests and inquiries. She coordinates with clients’ accountants, attorneys, and other advisors to ensure that all facets of their finances are working in concert with each other.
In her spare time, Lauren enjoys all sorts of puzzles- jigsaw, Wordle and otherwise, reading classical literature, playing piano, and traveling around the world. Lauren is engaged to her fiancé, Alex, and is busy planning their 2026 wedding.
