Matt grew up in Hopedale, Massachusetts. An avid athlete, he played basketball at Dean Junior College before transferring to Northeastern and completing his Bachelor of Science in Psychology. His interests in understanding the mind, and in helping people, led him to the May Institute, where he taught children with autism and brain injuries.

When Matt was in his late 20s, he made a career shift. His parents won a large, life-changing sum of money in the state lottery. To help make sure his mother transformed the money into security, he entered the investment business with Fidelity. There, he worked his way up from answering phones to servicing accounts and trading assets for high-net-worth clients. Next, he joined a boutique financial planning firm to deliver deeper, more holistic financial planning to clients. For one client with $100 million in assets, he helped establish and operate a family office.

Matt joined Heritage in 2007. As a Senior Wealth Manager Matt operates as the primary adviser for his clients, helping them translate their life goals into sophisticated custom financial plans recalibrating consistently as their circumstances and goals evolve. Matt also serves as the hub of communication and coordination between Heritage and clients’ accountants, attorneys, and insurance agents.

Matt and his wife Shannon have three sons. Most of his time outside of work is spent enjoying time with his family, as well as the company of close friends he’s had since the second grade.
