Dr. Sunil Wahal is a member of Heritage Financial Services Investment Committee, where he lends his decades of experience and specialized knowledge on capital markets and asset allocation to bring a robust academic perspective to Heritage’s investment strategy.
Currently, Sunil serves as the Jack D. Furst Professor of Finance at Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business. His research focuses on short- and long-horizon trading strategies, trading issues (including market microstructure of financial markets) and delegated portfolio management for mutual funds and institutional investors. He has been published extensively in the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics, the Review of Financial Studies and numerous other journals.
He is a regular speaker at academic and practitioner conferences, including those regarding sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, pension plans and registered investment advisors. Before joining ASU in 2005, he was on the faculty at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management.
