Making a perfect Paella is no mean feat, but with Barbara’s Cuban heritage, passion for cooking and organizational skills bringing together all the elements to feed an extended family of over 20 is nothing new. Growing up in Barrington, RI as the middle girl in a family of five (two boys, three girls) Barbara quickly learned how to maintain order in chaotic situations. It also provided her with a love of the beach and ocean, something she enjoys to this day.
Moving to Boston to attend Simmons College, Barbara majored in Communications and Spanish, positioning herself well for her interests in International travel. She is a frequent visitor to Spain, Italy and Portugal, where she enjoys cultural elements as well as the opportunity to bring home new concepts for cooking.
With a career that includes supporting two organizations from early stage to maturity and eventual sale, Barbara has taken on many roles – HR, Accounting, developing sales databases and tracking systems are all present within her deep resume. Her most recent work as an internal auditor brought together her ability to understand process and systems. Barbara’s work at Heritage focuses on maintaining alignment across many different areas, including the Executive Leadership team, administration of multiple wealth management teams, and project leadership of new initiatives.
When she is not bringing order to our executive team, Barbara can be found biking and running the rail trails in the summer or on the slopes in the winter, all of which she has learned how to do recently. She lives in Medway, MA with her husband, and has two sons.
