Heritage Supports Yawkey House Residents

Boston Children’s Hospital’s Yawkey House residence center provides a home-like environment for out-of-town families that allows them to focus on what’s most important – nursing their children back to health. And again this year that comfortable setting was made a bit more home-like with a barbeque dinner courtesy of Jim Scally and Heritage Financial team members.   This annual event is Heritage’s way of expressing our support for others who are especially vulnerable and doing what we can to make their days in Boston just a bit easier.

With soap bubbles courtesy of Lindsay Greene and a complete grill of summer treats culinarily mastered by Jim, the many residents who attended had the opportunity to get away from hospital interiors and enjoy a warm summer evening outside, complete with requisite summer tunes, salads, and cupcakes.

As nice a change of pace as it was for the attendees, Heritage staff benefitted from the smiles and appreciation shared by our guests.  This annual dinner is a much-anticipated event on the Heritage calendar and we are all looking forward to our next opportunity to participate in this meaningful activity.
