Cory has had a full time job – that of playing hockey – ever since he was in school. He played hockey for his high school team and for the team of his hometown, Rochester, New York. He also played for the Ohio State University team while he was studying business administration. The professional leagues came calling soon, and Cory played in the ECHL and CHL for almost two years.
When he was ready to hang up his skates, Cory joined Manning & Napier’s operations team in Rochester. He then relocated to Boston and worked for Wellington Management’s operations department for a while. When Cory was looking for an opportunity where he could have more influence on investments, a colleague introduced him to one of the partners at Heritage.
In his current role as a research analyst, Cory conducts fund manager research and helps prepare investment recommendations for prospective clients. He also addresses client inquires related to their portfolios and participates in the investment decision process. Cory is working on his Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
When he is not researching investment opportunities, Cory likes to stay active. He is an assistant hockey coach at Wentworth Institute of Technology. He also competes in The Decathlon – a charitable athletic event, the proceeds of which go to pediatric cancer research.
